To all Florida residents that will be affected by the wrath that is Hurricane Charley, good luck to you all. Especially those down in the Tampa/Sarasota/Naples areas (Motegi, I am pretty sure is from there) take extra care of yourself and your families and hopefully all will be safe.

Check in here after the storm passes with pics/videos/accounts of the storm and any effects of it as well.

We are buckling down here in Orlando as well cause it appears to be headed here on it path.

BE SAFE!!!!

Darkness!!!

Sorry, just the Rick James thing, Charlie Murphy...

ANYWAY, I share the same sentiment. I have many friends and family in FL and I pray that you and your families (and cars) will be safe down there as well. :)

we hoped it would pass us here in the tampa bay area and so far so good.(knock on wood) though we are looking at 55-65 mph winds.

hopefully when it gets back out over water tonight it won't strenghten, i live about a 1/4 of a mile from the ocean, and its pridicted to make landfall about 30 miles south of my house at this point.

Sustained about 60-70 here. Which is weird since I am inland north of orlando. Universal studios got owned thoe.

Pics!

These were taken during the brunt of the storm in Longwood, just northeast of Orlando. Outside my bedroom window during very very fast winds... I would guess 45-75mph. First pic is weird... sky lit up like this about a dozen times. Whole sky was turquoise blue... then for very breif moments, it all lit up like it was on fire! The sky was crimson red... looked like a nuke going off. Worst is way over now, and it's moving on out... I'll post pics of my downed trees tomorrow...
