Can anyone tell me if humidity/moisture would cause an alarm to go off? I drove home in some pretty bad rain the other day, though it wasn't raining as I pulled in. Got out of my car and 15 mins later, the alarm was going off for no apparent reason (I was parked no where near anything/anyone, and when it went off there was nothing around it as I looked out the window maybe 5 sec after it started) So I went out, checked, and everything seemed fine. Locked it, went inside. Went to go to work this morning and the beep notice thing went off signifying that the alarm had been tripped overnight. (though I didn't hear it, and the car is parked maybe 30-40 feet from my bedroom window; which is also odd)
Anyone with any input in this area would be appreciated.
I think something similar has happened in the past, but I wrote that one of on a stray cat or somehting...
THanks
Scott
how sensative is your alarm set?...i had my inside sensors all the way up the other day, and a gust of wind triggered the alarm(with the windows up), those things are touchy. rain also sets off my alarm(have to "put it in valet" mode), but moisture, i dont know if that effects them.
its not set that sensitive at all, I'm not even sure I have a shock sensor...
and when it went off, the rain had been stopped for an hour or so. hot as hell thouh
