HPS Intake??

I helped one of my friends put on his HPS intake.. only problems we had were operator error (clamp was too close to wiring harness - as for its function as an intake it does its job.

i dnt quite like sri, seems a real cai would be alot better.....but did the hps intake seem to give any power gains??

Yeah gains were noticeable. Im not sure exactly by how much, I just rode with him around the block to make sure everything was as it should be. It makes the hissing noise of air sucking in and makes the stock bpv noticeable just like all the other intakes. Nothing different from what I could tell. However the only issue was that at the end of the day this isnt a very well known product so really it's up to you. I warned him not to go all experimental on s*** for his car, and that ebay isn't the place but I guess it worked out in the end.

hmmm i dunno i was jst curious, the other cai are pretty expensive, and a sri jst sucks up hot engine bay air soo i dunno i might try one out and see how it does

Does the HPS intake have the stock size MAF housing and airflow straightener? If it doesn't, you could risk running lean.

you obviously dont know anything, you'd rather go with a intake that is off ebay that is not going to have an air flow straightner then a cobb sri? hey bud its a turbod car meaning that air will get cooled anyways. oh btw my cobb sri beat another ms3 with a fujita intake perhaps driver but cobb sri is a awesome product and has had nothing but great reviews, dont get cheap ebay crap you'll regret it
