How To Program AutoLock Feature

Does anyone on the boards possibly working for Mazda know about the Auto Lock Feature covered in the CX-7 manual, page 3-20 ?

My dealership is making it's second attempt to program it, but is starting their third day of trying. First time they gave up after a week with my CX-7 GT.

At least they keep trying .... the service manager has a CX-7 GT and his works, so he knows it can be done - maybe that is why they are still trying.

I don't know why they cannot do it even with factory tech support ... their programming computer keeps telling them that this feature is not available on my car.... but everyone agrees that this feature is ONLY available on those with the Advanced Keyless Entry system.

So, I'm trying to do more research - maybe find someone who has actually dealt with it ---- either a service tech, or a service manager somewhere, or maybe a CX-7 owner who successfully had their feature activated (and if so, by whom?).

Any feedback at all will be appreciated.

Here is the actual wording from the manual :

"The following function settings are possible. These settings can only be changed by an Authorized Mazda Dealer.

Autolock function

When all doors and the liftgate are closed and the
advanced key is being carried and out of
operational range, all doors and the liftgate
automatically lock after 3 seconds.
(Even if the driver is in the operational range, all
doors and the liftgate are locked automatically
after about 30 seconds.)

Initially : Deactivated"

My roomate got a Speed 6 last November and he had this activated... first one that the dealership activated.... then in March when I got my car I had them activate it during dealer prep.... both went just fine.

As far as I understand it they just hook the car up to their computer and change the option. Does the rest of the advanced key system work?
