wow, off the top of my head I can't even picture an MSP antenna or lack of one... good call now i'll have to look at a bunch of msp pics like i've never seen one before.

Plus, you'll still have to have your antenna stub on the roof

I've always wondered whether it would be possible to completely remove the antenna and integrate an antenna into the roof, not on the outside.

Maybe I should've paid attention in my electromagnetics class. Think there's any way it could work? Run a loop of wire all the way around the roof? =/

The metal roof would block the direct signal. Any signal that was picked up would have to have come in through a window and bounce off some metal on the inside to reach the antenna. I'd expect both a weak signal and multipath problems. You could run a wire along the glass on a window though.

so the little piece at the bottom is the antenna or wha? like i have my antenna off right now an i still get decent reception. so i would do this. but only go thru that trouble if it makes the reception better.

That looks really clean. My stocker isn't in that bad a shape, but I really like the shorter one. Nice job!

I'm using an S2000 ant. and it works great
