Did the blade look at all replaceable?

Not really, doesn't look like something that would be a filler replacement. I think it was made to make people spend the coin for the whole new end w/blade when it needs replacing but I won't be stopped by that. There's a 14" silicone blade in it's future. I'll just make one from something else.

Glad I stumbled across this thread. Just ordered mine today. The OEM rear wiper is driving me nuts. I could care less about the look (although it does look much nicer), if it can better than the OEM blade/assembly, it's worth the $35 bucks. Thanks for the mod Cable.

and also does the wiper cover a bigger area than the standard mp5 one?

Covers same area. It can't cover more or it'll hit the 3rd brake light at the top of the window. The start/stop point of the wiper is somewhat adjustable.

I just thought that I'd post and let all know that this mod is now on my car. It was well worth the $. It looks sharp and it cleans better. It helped a bit with this last snow storm.

Now if I could only get a similar mod for the front wipers.

Check out the Valeo Silicone blade wipers at Walmart. About 15.00 each. Cool different look for the wipers & super squeegee streak free flawless silent wiping action for over 2 years now. Even customized an 18" one down to 14" for the rear before doing the 6 wagon mod. It was a bit too curved so it left a tiny streak in the center of the wipe so it got annoying & the blade did little for the bugly oem arm.
