I plan to buy a Apex Motorsports CEL Eliminator (CELE):
apexr1_1784_4994722

I was wondering how to install this device:

1- Do I cut the existing wire that go to the O2 sensor, put the CELE then plug back the O2 sensor in is hole or

2- Cut the existing wire that go to the O2 sensor, put the CELE and don't plug anything to it since it this suppose to foul the ECU anyway.

3- Or other alternatives???

My exhaust setup will be: AWR header, 2.25 Vibrant flexpipe, 2.25 straight midpipe and Mazdaspeed Sport axle-back.

Thanx for the help!!!

you just cut two wires and splice this in. Very simple like a 15 minute job. It comes with instructions. I have one along with my awr header

You should splice it inline with the existing wiring...so I would go with number 1.

I used a 1.2K resistor spliced inline ($1.00) to fool my ECU that my shop installed when i eliminated my factory cat with a HS header.Hope that CELE was cheap,I have seen some run up to 80 bucks.I still had to install a Magnaflow cat after header install, just to quiet it a bit and fool inspection.

I still stuck the sensor in the provided hole on my downpipe.

If you have to deal with inspections/smog,plug it back where it goes...

they are cheap, like 15 bux. I would rather pay that then make one with a soldering iron and all that time. comes with protective wrap and everything. Just cut two wires going to the second 02 splice this in and leave the o2 in the header. Leave everything as is, except splice this in.

is 1.2k resistor enough?

i've read that some had to use a 830k ohm? even up to 1M ohm and a 1uF cap
