How to get these out??

Hey Guys,

My polished rims have this stubborn stone like stuff on it and I can kinda use my finger to scratch it out. What is it and how do I get it out safely without damaging my rims??

Should've gone with the normal rims....

Is this a pic of the pass side wheel?....... Some wheels catch road debris, are the marks kinda rough? thats all I can think of.....unless its a stain from the neighbor hood Cat........

use a piece of semi-soft plastic that won't mar the surface. a general rule is that if its softer than the thing you're scraping it won't harm it, although if there are little bits of debris you can end up with scratches.
