How to fix the DROP OFF OF POWER at 5500 rpm?

I love the MS6, but the power just drops off at 5500 rpm and I really like the feeling of a car pulling to the redline.

Is this due to

turbo too small
turbo too restricted
too much heat
bad mapping of chip
????

Will CAI solve this, or better exhaust or intercooler or new chip or what?

Thanks for any help in solving this problem.

Turbo cars usually are tuned to reduce boost at higher RPM..

It's done to prevent damage. Top gear pulls that are long in duration are very hard on the engine. It's normal, and I would recomend not trying to alter it..

hmmm well first your powerband should be until about 6000rpm

to answer your question though, its the turbo size. Mazda used a smaller turbo to spool quicker (giving you full boost @ 2200rpm). The downside to all that power early? It drops off before redline.
