I'm trying to figure out what to use to clean the interior with. I have been using ArmorAll wipes for my previous car but it doesn't work so well on this car.

I want to know what you guys suggest I use to clean the interior.

Thanks.

The textured surfaces are good at trapping dust. My interior doesnt get that dirty, just dusty. I first tried a moist paper towel which left behind lint and stuff. Running over the dash quickly with a microfiber cloth cleaned it up nicely.

the quick interior detail wipes do a good job of cleaning up without leaving a mess of lint behind them.

I'm not having a problem with lint, I having an issue of the wipes streaking. If I go over an entire area I can see exactly the way I was wiping, it's hard to explain but it's not working.

buy some costco microfibers (the yellow ones) you dont require high end mf for the interior

Meguiars all purpose cleaner diluted to your liking is perfect for the interior.

dilution depends on how dirty your interior is...

wipe down all the panels.

then follow up with an interior protectant. a good over the counter protectant is megs natural shine. also 303 aerospace is a favorite among detailers.

theres tons of info on this an autopia.org

oh man i know exactly what you talking about. i did the same on my ms3. the wipes have a lot of solution in one wipe. you need to squeeze it a little and then use the wipe but also have to get a mircofiber cloth and wiper after it. that how i fix that.

if anyone else did it different i ll like to hear it too.

dont use armor all... theres much better OTC products...

all armor all does is leave a greasy disgusting residue.

i like to use a california dash duster and a microfiber cloth dampened with warm water. i don't use any cleaners.

im with controlo on this one. I'm not a fan of shiny interiors

its not the cleaner that makes the dashboard shiny... its the protectant your using.

this is my interior after being cleaned and dressed. see how the dressing didnt give it that greasy shine?

Swiffer duster pads (without the handle) work amazing to pick up all the dust, lint and debris. I just keep one in my glove box and wipe things down at a stop light.

i use armorall maybe once every other month as a protectant so the dash doesnt fade or crack (definitely can happen over time) and in between I dust it with a microfiber towell, dampening it if necessary to get the tough stuff off, here is the result:

Not shiny, just clean :)

you guys might want to lay off the armor all. my understanding is that it leaves behind silicone and overtime it builds up and heats up your dash and cracks it.

All i do with my interior is take a black shirt and dust it off. If i want to get a bit of a shine in it, i dillute it like a few people have mentioned and apply with a soft sponge(one that hasnt been used with other cleaners of course)

Take a look at the detailing section. There are some topics about it. For cleaning I use a mixture of woolite and water. For protecting dash and plastics I use Optimum Protectant Plus.
