How to: adjust the Handbrake on the current Mazda 2 Ts2

I have removed the console around the handbrake, hoping to find a manual adjustment screw to take up a slight slack in the cable but I cannot see any nut or mechanism to adjust.

On tips on how to adjust the handbrake on a 2009 Mazxda Ts2 would be appreciated.



As a newbie, it would be good to get my hands on a workshop service manual but I understand that is difficult / impossible. What do you folks do ?

if there is an adjustment it will be on the other end probably where the cable splits to both wheels.i didnt look when i was under there so im just going on past experience with other cars/trucks.let us know what ya find out

Eventually I did find a screw to adjust for cable stretch UNDER the handbrake lever shown above. It is easy to miss.
