How much RMS power for my BA setup?

I would get 1 eD sub before I would get 2 RF. like I said before. if you want to get the RF amp for the sub that will work. but I would not use one for the components. then you will be stuck with two different amps. dont hurt anything. just seen where you mentioned that you wanted to keep teh same stuff.

ok, first off, that amp will not work very well with thoise subs as they are 4 ohms each and the amp will only bridge to 4 ohms or only output about 90W to each sub in the 2-channel mode. You will want to look at getting an amp that is capable of bridging to a 2-ohm load for those woofers. Most people willnot recommend RF woofers, especially the lower lines of their. I second the opinion of going with 1 12" sub in a nice sealed box and then getting a decent 1-channel amp to drive it. I am running one ED12k.44 and it is plenty in my P5, trust me.

1 REsonant Engineering SC12 $169 plus shipping from respl.com
1 JBL bP600.1 or bP1200.1 $193 shipped, $240 shipped, respectively on ebay

My suggestion

why not recommend the sub you are running? the ED that servo suggested with the 600w JL amp?

it would be $235 for the sub and $193 for the amp...which is a little over my amount but i didnt have to buy it TODAY...i could buy one thing now and another early next month...

because they are on backorder and may not be available for some time. The sub I recommended here is probably a little better and cheaper.

i don't think the 12o.44 (dual 4 ohm to get a 2 ohm load) or .14 (single 4 ohm) is on backorder. Ben said he was going to keep the flat cone on that sub out of all of their lines, because it suits that one best. It's a damn fine piece...the JBL 600.1 would be a good match for the 12o.44. If you can get that for a good price I'd get that...I don't think it's the series that was catching fire.

I am not too big on the flash pages either. I believe you have to call them and order direct from them.

the 12k.44 is on backorder, sorry if I confused you. The 12o44 would be about 215 shipped. Between the ED and the RE, it would really be a toss up, the specs are similair

600.1 - 193 shipped
12o.44 - 215 shipped

ok and some more questions (do you all hate me?) - dual or single on the 12o? will this hit as hard or not as my old system (i know i keep referring to it because its all i have for a baseline)?

i have an Alpine MRV-T420 and it is powering my JL XR650CSi's with about 120W RMS (that was rated on its birth card). sound super clean .... the BA's can take ALOT of power. not sure about the RC620s, but my friend's Boston Pro 6.5 take his 300W RMS (per channel!) no problems...

with this setup you need the dual 4ohm so you can hook the VC's in parallel to get a 2ohm load. with the 2ohm load you will get the 600Wrms

now i just need to gather the finances. i have a bad habit of wanting everything ASAP! i need to just wait until i have all the money together...

i figure in addition to the 408 for amp and sub, ill need another what, 50 for an enclosure and about 40 or 50 for more wires and dist block?
