Hey guys! I thought i'd ask you guys as to how much oil do you usually have to add during a 3000 mile interval?
I have a 1995 Z5 with 103 000 miles on it, and i have to add 1 quart of oil to make it 3000 miles, which i think is weird and a bit too much considering that i have no oil leaks or smoke from the exhaust pipe.
I would especially be interested in the opinions of the 2 gen. owners, as the 1 gen. is old enough, so it is normal for it to be using some.
So please tell me the year and mileage of your Protege and how much oil do you usually add to make it to the next oil change.
Thank you.

i have a 98 Z5...with a real crazy intake valve/s in cyl 4. At start up I have a bit of blue smoke...but unless im heavily accelerating, its not noticable. Usually I would have to put in a quart to two, depending on how hard I drive...and if they were mostly highway or city miles.
a quart for yours doesnt seem likes its all too bad, especially with these great Z5s

oh yea, i also forgot to mention...i beat the living hell out of my engine in my earlier driving days. I do it still, just with more knowledge of what im breaking...and knowing i dont really care....when before it was just fun =D

I add 2 pints per 5000km, in my BP that's over 225000km...
