Some have seen a drop in boost psi because of the wider and lengthier piping over a TMIC. But as far as performance goes you probably only see 3-5hp. Doesnt sound like much. But what you will be achhieving is a lot less heat soak. If you ran a TMIC on a dyno your runs would go something like this 250whp then 230whp then 200whp. With a FMIC you will stay right where you started. The FMIC will also allow for you to increase boost goals and higher HP output over the TMIC. It is an all around better system. The only draw back that I have seen with them is that you will get rocks bending the fins and leaves causing blockage. But in all honesty my TMIC has bent fins and is always collecting crap from the air. So that really isnt that big of a draw back.
Will you need a fuel pump. No. Should you get one. Yes. If you are on a Stg1 tune from the COBB AP you will not need a fuel pump. But I guarantee if you are going to invest in a FMIC then within a month you will want to up your boost and see more power. So just start setting aside money for the HPFP, FMIC, DP and go to town on a Stg 2 map. Will it be worth all the money? YOU BET YOUR ASS IT WILL!
