That is a three-page question. So I'm not really going to answer it. I
"Chipping" your car by itself will lend a few horsepower, mostly from advancing the timing to run higher octane fuels. Greddy Emanage is perfect for that. Unichip is supposed to have a standalone chip soon, but it aint here yet. With many standalones (replaces stock ECU) you lose OBD-II, the coding that allows our cars to be "plugged in" to a computer and have diagnostics done. CRITICAL for daily driver cars, we need our babies to run.
A chip by itself is nice, but not much. For some reason they're the hip thing to do these days, prob b/c of games like GT2.

Go turbo. "Chip" the turbo. go fast.

There is no miracle chip that can give your car 40hp. In fact, with some less reputable companies, you're actually buying the stock chip.
Go with a piggyback system like the Greddy emanage. You retain all the OBD-II and gauge funcitonality of the stock ECU plus the mapping ability of the emanage.

And dont forget that turbo, there are several on this site ready to go.

There aren't any "chips" for the p5, besides the one you can get from the MP3, which apparently only adds like 5-10 extra whp.

If your talking about a standalone ECU with fuel management, then you can gain a pretty decent amount of power assuming you have the right fuel stuff (fuel pressure reg, higher flowing fuel pump and higher flowing fuel injectors).

so what exactly are you asking?
