How much did you sell your msp for?

The problem is all the whining "wahh my car clunks and hesitates- I'm going public with it", "these cars are junk, they blow up", etc. That ruins a cars image and resale value plummets. you can get them new for around $17,000-$19,000- used they are worthless- sucks because a lot of people are going to take a beating on them- many paid over sticker for their car due to the rarity, but once a car is labled as a "problem car", you can't give them away unfortunately :(.

No s***. If you hype it up, make it seem better than it is, and rarer than they are, then you can do whatever you want. Anyone on here would be out of thier mind to pay 17K for a used one, but there are other people who don't come to forums and just pretend to be ballers and s***. They'll pay for a 'mad tyte shizzle msp yo' and work double shifts at the Taco Bell.

Lol, no because I spoke with the Mazda dealer personally before trading it in about then buying it- they wouldn't touch it :(. If it weren't for that, I would have thought the same thing... Sucks though, it was a nice car.

That sounds like a major dealer line to me. I know you worked with a pal to get your newer car but it still sounds like a line.

Good point!!!

Now that they are dissapearing, i think the value will hold/go up. Before the market was flooded...now if someone wants one they pretty much have to buy it used. So now I think the value game ball is in our court now. Try for 15,000+. screw it

Yeah the value will NEVER go. It's probably just not going to go down AS MUCH now, but who knows. Cars are not an investment. All I know is, you should put enough down at the time of purchase so you wont ever be upside down on payments. I got lucky and bought mine during the rebate, plus put a good chunk of change down. I just needed a car badly and I had always had my eye on a WRX but I didnt want to buy that $$$ of a car at the moment. The MSP was the next best thing IMHO.

lol thats funny about the srt-4....i have said it since i came here....now that rebates are gone along with pretty much all the new msp's.....market value is gonna level our or increase slightly....srt-4s are worth less because u have the next model year to choose from :)

yup. oh well. live and learn. then get Luvs.

put it up on autotrade with the run till its sold ad for 17,500. I dont know how many blue ones were made but I dont see too many of them for sale. A lot of people have very limited knowledge about the MSP and dont know that the car was avilable for 16k new just a few months ago. U might get lucky and sell it fairly quick. Car looks great and is an excellent value with all the standard equipment, a lot of buyers will be immpressed with that.

That is exactly what I'm thinking. I mean, I'm sure there is *1* person out there who will pay 17,500 for my car, it's just a matter of finding them. Limited edition, one year only, turbo, all of these words are neat to someone who doesn't know a ton. I'm thinking I'll list at $18,000 and see what happens. What's the worst that could happen? Maybe I'll get lucky, maybe I won't. Thanks for the replies.
