well ppl how much did it cost you to get a grill, and the front lip painted and then put on the car................i just would like to know so i can budget!!!!

no grill as of now.

im getting both painted and installed for 200 cash.

the grill im doing on my own, when i get the 3.5 msp lip i will have that professionally painted, hopefully my hookup still does small jobs.


for the grill I will sand it (wet sanding always) with 400grit, then 600, then 1000. untill it is very very smooth, then automotive flex primer(for non metal surfaces, usually comes in dark grey or rose color which makes it easy to see high/low spots sanding)

then I got a can of color matched spray paint online for 18 plus shipping, code 22a for midnight blue, that will be the color coat, probably three-five coats.

then to make the color on any newer car match you have to do a clear coat, which I will do three, sand with 1000 grit, clear coat x2 or 3 again and let dry for a couple days.

thats about the biggest job I plan on taking on myself, I can always have it redone professional if I screw up and I will still have some paint with only 25bux spent total.
