How many think the VW R32 is overpriced? I sure as hell do!

Here's the deal with me............. I ain't moddin'! If I spend $29.995.00, or less (or more); It had better be enough power. I'm not moddin'. I am one of the few, I guess, that's happy with just a little boost on my 'Speed. If I buy a non-turbo car in the future (and I most likely will), it's not getting a turbocharger or anything else. I don't race, and I don't much care for drag racing. That's what American metal is for!! (lol)

to run a 11 second 1/4 mile im sure they did alot more then just slap on a turbo kit, kind of how you made it sound...

The internals on the R32 are bulletproof! That pig can handle insane abuse and boost. Cars are all subjective.

"I maintained the stock R32 brakes, only cross drilling them. I had been so impressed by their performance, I went on a hunch that they would stop this 3600lb car in ample fashion. They did not let me down. (13.1front10.1rear, an absolutely incredible stock set-up. 2piston floating front caliper)

60-0..107.7 ft wow! ( GT2 Porsche 107ft)
100-0 ..302ft
Now for the good stuff!.

We set the fastest 0-30 reordered by Motortrend at 1.01sec
Chris Walton and John Kiewicz of Motortrend were the official drivers.
This car was punished all day and never gave up an inch.

After this, we traveled to Irvine, where we strapped this to Garrets 4 wheel dyno for some official numbers. With air intake temp of 40degrees, we pulled 409 at the wheels ( 575crank) and with air intake at 60plus, we pulled 395 at the wheels (545crank). Everyone was truly impressed. A copy of the dyno sheets will be posted on our web along with all official results within the next 10days."

still couldn't get me to purchase a car for 29 grand .. well shoot 32 with tax or so. Then turn around and have the nerve to drop 3grand on making the car faster. that's crazy and very impractical.

30 thousand is a lot of money to spend on a car, that when you realistically look at it .. Is just a 2 door hatchback. Plain and simply that.

But to whoever dishes that cash out .. . Hey more power to you.

I would pay the money for the car in a second....like many people have said, it's not just a sport compact type car, its a Luxury car aswell. I mean, I doing some driver training right now to lower my insurance rates, and I'm doing my in car in once of the new golfs(2003) and it is such a nice ******* car inside, and there is more room than in my car. They are amazing upscale cars, true germans, and the fact that they now make the R32 awd version, I'd jump at the chance to buy one if I had the flip, or they were available here....worth the money...HELL YES....a car for everyone...NO.

The R32 is an awesome car. I have read an article in the past that compared the STI, EVO8 and the R32. Guess what, the R32 won the reviews of the critics. Not only did it keep up with the other cars, it had many more refined features that the other imports did not for a comparable price.

Comparing the R32 to the GTI to a Stock Golf is like comparing the RS6 to the S6 to an A6. Yes, they are all nice cars, but one is in a completely different catagory then the others.

$20,500.00 + about $300.00 for the Blitz Turbo Timer + Boost Controller.
So for $9,000.00 more you could have a car that would outhandle, out accelerate...s*** outperform anything our speed's can do. It isn't a ridiculous price, when you compare it to the STI or Evo (which are the only cars for $30,000 it can be compared with).

duh!!!!!!!!! No s***! $9,000 is substantial.

i think personally it is priced how it should be, turbo v6...awd...shitload of potential, nice interior, although i don't particually like the outside, its still a nice car.
