How hard is it going to be to carpet the lid of my trunk?

NICE Double post:rolleyes:

But what ,exactly are you asking?
Will carpet cover it?
Matt

Well obviously I know carpet will cover it, but what i dont know is how hard it will be. Or if I could get some tips or something.

Ya it was a nice double post eh? :D

Sound deadening material is NOT hard to install.Messy...it can be
Hard..NO
It all really depends on what kind you are planning to use....sheet,asphalt based or vinyl, self stick, spray on ,or a combination?
Hmmmmm....Where are the audio gurus on this one?

Heheh, the sound deading is already in the trunk, however im looking to hide it via carpetting.

I would have to see a pic.I need to know where you put it.I have a few ideas but will need a pic to confirm.

It shouldn't be that hard if u have sound deading material on the lid already ,

...before you read on I have "never" done this. Just trying to help out and give some tips thanks for ur time

1>I would find paper large enough to cover ur whole trunk lid and make a template of the lid....

2>then get a carpet that is light in weight and that matchs ur lower carpet or if u want to go to mazda and buy a trunk carpet and cut it to match the template.. u should make it a little bigger like 3 inchs to roll it under the edge of the sound deading material

3>then with glue or some kind of adhesive stick it to the sound deading material u can roll the edges right under the edge of the sound deading material so it looks nice and neat

If it all goes well then it should come out all nice and tight

Again thanks for the time and I hope this helps
