How hard is it going to be to carpet the lid of my trunk?

sorry i don't really have any experience with that, so i can't help you, but out of curiousity, what type of deadener did you use on your trunk lid?

(i may be outfitting my trunk with deadener soon, so just wondering)

I want to hide the sound deading material with carpet, anyone done this? How hard it is? Tips?

it should be very easy. if you want to make it even easier, take off the trunk lid;) i think it has like 4 bolts and a wiring harness or 2.

the way i did it is to cut a piece of masonite to size carpet that and screw it to the trunk lid .gives it a nice smooth apperance

I have seen this done. works pretty good. easier than haveing to figure out where to carpet adn stuff. then you can stick the carpet to the board.

but if you want to put the carpet right on the sound deadening then it should work with some really good spray adhesive. liek 3m super 77 or 90 (might be 99)

I used edead from elemental designs. it worked really good. and a good price to. bout 1 a sq ft. and that is pretty cheap for good stuff.

My thoughts too. They also make rolled pieces so you can taper the edges so its not just a flat piece attached to the trunk.

I just did this on my MSP recently. I have Dynamat on the trunk, and didn't like the way that it looked. I used a thick piece of posterboard and made a template of the underside of the trunk lid. I then carpeted it and used 4 screws to secure it in place. I will post pics as soon as I get my camera back from Sony.
