How do you remove dried tree gum on the paint?

I have some tree gum on the roof of my p5, I tried everything, lighter fuel, WD40, clay bar, and nothing seems to be working and I cannot wax my car until I can get rid of it.

No, no and no.

Have you discovered "Goo Gone"? I swear that s*** will take anything off, anything....and it is safe for paint and chrome.

This has worked wonders for me. Just make sure you use a cheesecloth or you will get swirrel marks where you will be cleaning.

Also make sure you let it penatrate before you start rubbing, and take it slowly, it will go away.

I use a terri cloth towel and do not press that hard, then I hit it with auto wax afterwards.

Works on any kind of road guck I have ever run accross.

Thanks! Where can I buy Goo Gone?
Will they have it in Walmart?

well, depends how long did you let it sit, if it's been there long enough nothing can take it off.

tar and bug remover+ clay bar+wax=the right way to do it.
