How can i tell if mine is 2002.5?

All i know is, mine doesn't have a leather wrapped steering wheel!

Three things that I know of that seperate the 2002 and 2002.5...

Sidemarker lights near the front wheels/side view mirrors...

Different style rims...

and if its an automatic tranny, the sport automatic system that essentially lets you shift gears while still having an auto transmission.

The sidemarker lights are the quickest way to tell, IMHO

I think there are also tweeters inside the side view mirrors

I don't think we canucks are getting those 2002.5, I heard that those changes are coming in 2003 models, but i just talked to my sales rep, he said that there won't be significant changes (they always say that), there will be a new colour however, laser blue, used to be mp3 exclusive.

I have the new rims, side markers, leather wrapped shifter and wheel, and tweeters up in the side mirrors. Everyone with the early 2002's have carbon fiber strips on the center dash and on the inside of the Mazda emblem on the steering wheel right?

They also said the front end is a bit different but I don't see the difference.

the 2002.5's don't have a door over the cup holders, the 2002's do.

I think there's a pic of all the changes here on the board somewhere.

leather.... smell nice... but it could get really hot in the summer though...

I'm in tempe Arizona and it's really not to bad having a leather steering wheel.

Got mine for $16,500.
