How are Falken Ziex in snow?

They're not snow tires, but they were just fine on my Protege last year when I went north for the holidays and had to drive through snow. The one time I got stuck was trying to follow my uncle (in a truck) out of a driveway, and I only got stuck 'cause the car came to rest on top of the snow with nothing under the wheels but snow. The front end was basically hanging in the air!

Otherwise, they did great.

if you get big snow... then get snow tires... BUT if you can't afford or don't want to deal with it... these are some that i suggest

H-rated:
Dunlop SP Sport 5000, $81
Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S, $78
Falken Ziex ZE 512, $56

V-rated:
Michelin Pilot HX MXM4, $148
Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S, $136
Continental ContiProContact, $119

OR for non performance

2 Michelin $111
5 Michelin $100

so in short... yes they will do fine (first)

Falken 512 for $56 (shocked)

From where are you getting the H-rated tires and with those prices? I just priced out the Falken ZE512 from Discounttiredirect at $75/tire, but these are the v-rated. With your pricing, I can move up to the Mich Exalto!

i saw that on consumer reports and i thought that would come in handy some day... i have no idea where they got those lol

Vulcantire.com Ziex 195/65R15 $40
edgeracing.com Ziex 195/65R15 $43
Plus shipping.

I've ordered from both and gotten good service, though one has a road hazard warrenty which may help you decide who to order from.
