Should have recirculated some of that air... It's only happening when you blip the throttle right??? I work every damn evening through saturday... NOT fun. I'll meet up this weekend, but I'll be arriving after work. ~11pm

yeah... i was just in such a tired stupor that i forgot to look... i ended up spending half the night at the emergency vet and then had to come home to study for the arch history final. and when i finally got to bed, my cat kept me awake for another couple of hours. stress sucks. but i'm done with class!!!

right as i sat down to study last night, peter noticed that kali bear was acting a little strange. she had been acting weird for about 30 minutes, but we didn't think much of it, because hey, my cats are freaks. so anyway she was breathing really fast and panting some and twitching a lot. she would lay down somewhere and immediately get up. it was like she couldn't be still. and randomly licking herself all over. that and she kept trying to hide, which is so completely not like kali. so, we decided to take her to the emergency vet. they said they think she has an abscess, which was probably a result of a wound from her and baby kitty fighting. the vet said it was very common. they get a bite, it starts to get infected and an infection under the skin forms. so, they sedated her enough to give her shots because she was freakin out on em (i heard kali hiss for the first time tonight). i'm gonna call my regular vet tomorrow and see if he wants us to bring her in. if the antibiotics don't work, it'll come to the surface and basically pop into a nasty, bloody and puss filled mess and then they'll have to sew it up. then, baby kitty decided to attack kali a little while after i went to bed, so we had to lock baby cat out of the bedroom which resulted in a couple hours of meowing and banging on the door. and, the attack got kali all twitchy again and she couldn't get comfortable. everywhere she laid was right next to me, but she kept moving around. poor kitty. i fell asleep for about 30 min and she started moving again. off the bed, on the bed, lay next to my head, move down to my torso, back to my head...she ended up laying right next to me for a while and let me pet her and try to calm her down for a good 20 min. not sure when i actually got to sleep, but it had to have been sometime around or after 4 and i was up by 7ish.
she seems to be feeling better today though... hopefully antibiotics will do the trick...
