Hose and tubing

Hi, I'm new here and hoping someone can help me ASAP. I cleaned my 2003 protege DX's mass air flow sensor and throttle body a few hours ago but in the process I disconnected one of the tubes/hoses that is mounted on top of the main air intake hose. It is disconnected on the far end and I don't know where it goes. Any ideas?

I added a picture below showing what tube I'm talking about. In the picture, it looks like it is connected to something but it's not, it's just the angle of the pic.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as this is my only car and need it back on the road. Thanks!

According to my 2002 service manual, that hose (connected to the solenoid valve) goes to the top (front) of the catch tank, which is near the firewall on the passenger side.
