Horsepower/Torque Ratings

yeah I definately do have the pzev, 153 hp @ crank according to that paper that is in the window when you buy the car. All I really wanted to relay is exhaust and intake wise it looks*** to be the same.

Here is what is different:

The fuel tank is different. There are actually alot of differences here.
The exhaust is different: you have 3 O2 sensors, a smaller silencer and an additional silencer called a "after silencer".

Thats all I had time to look for right now. But the exhaust itself can be the 7hp loss right there.

nice info +rep for you....

For sure, good info. I had to have a o2 sensor bung welded in on the vibrant exhaust, and no one else had complained, so I was thinking maybe it was just an 06 deal, but that makes alot more sense...

Everybody check your attitudes at the door. I won't tolerate it. If you have something contructive to contribute, do so in an intelligent manner. Otherwise, don't post.

The Mazda 3i model in Ca is the PZEV-s*** as i call it. thats what i have and my dyno numbers are as follows my car dynoed (AT btw) stock was 116. after i added my exhaust CAI and Pullies i am now at 133 at the wheels. 10hp from the pullies, 4hp from the CAI and 3 from the exhaust. so from the stock 148hp in CA to 116 w/ an AT is a loss of about 22% from the flywheel to the tires stock. does that sound about right?? oh and btw Merry Christmas

considering that i dynoed at 116 (flywheel 160 so sez mazda), then added my AEM and got 120 - sounds right :( - 27.5% loss :((

oh so underpowered...

gotta get cat-back and intake/exhaust headers and more important - an ECM

where'd ya get the pullies and just what suffers by using them? cuz the a/c isn't the greatest as it is and i use it daily

well with the pulley package that i got you can't use the AC...i got them from www.srmotorsports.com

Funny story, I had to use my A\C for the first time today...wtf 85 degrees on xmas day?!? Crazy. The ac seemed pretty damn weak. 10hp gain from any mod is pretty good, Im gonna search and see if there are any that maintain AC...

Merry xmas, go to sleep so santa will come!!!
