Here is info on the recent work to our condo we purchased a year ago...

My wife and I decided it about time that we got rid of the ugly light/mirror fixture and green death paint in our downstairs bathroom and we also painted our kitchen. The project took most of Saturday and all of Sunday. Here are the photos...

1) Removed all fixtures and decorations from walls and removed toilet
2) Sanded walls with 120 grit and orbital sander, removed wallpaper from behind toilet
3) Spackeled divits and imperfections, sanded some more
4) Masked off doors, cabinets, floor and windows with painters tape
5) Repainted base boards and window trim with white satin finish paint
6) Primed walls (bathroom took two coats)
7) Painted walls with satin finish paint (bathroom took two coats again)
8) Reinstalled all fixtures including new light and mirror for bathroom
9) Reinstalled toilet with new wax seal and bolts.

Up next, I going to paint the bottom portion of the cabinet/sink in the bathroom since it is fugly. I am also going to fabricate new doors for the cabinet out of wood or maybe just fiberboard. We would have replaced the cabinet but that meant re-tiling the floor also.

We also have some work to do in the upstairs bathroom. Our tub is leaking due to improperly installed fixtures so we are saving to remove that, fix the floor, and replace the lenoleum with real tile, and paint the walls a new color. We'll probably end up paying someone to do it since I don't know the first thing about removing/installing tubs or tiling.

Oh, and for the record, the soap dispenser came with the condo as did the green paint. The previous owners had 5 kids.

nice, like the colors. but I think the blue might be a little too dark for the kitchen. unless it's the camera.

It's partly the camera. At night it is a little dark but during the day it is perfect. The primer was mixed a few shades lighter and my wife and I agreed that although the final coat may look a little dark, it is much nicer than a lighter color. The back splash by the counters is white so that lightens it up too.

like your choice of mirror and lighting in the bathroom. i cant wait to get my own house and start bob villa-ing to my personal taste. now sit back and enjoying some more of those beers for your hard work(drinks)

holy crap, there are cats EVERYWHERE (not a cat lover if you can't tell) but, I do love your color schemes. Very nice work!

The kitchen is ok, BUT the bathroom looks GREAT! Nice fixture and mirror. That style matches the paint very well. Good job.
