Holy $#!+!! Vibrant CBE kicks @$$

:
MSP & MS3
From the 'why didn't I do this sooner' section, just had my Vibrant CBE exhaust installed and.... wow. Sounds awesome... looks awesome... and the car feels like it has an extra 25+hp.

I testdrove an MS3 (for the hell of it) earlier and, while it probably isn't, my car FELT faster... which is really the most important thing (since perception is reality)

All I know is, if anyone with a MSP is thinking about getting an exhaust.. this is the one to get. My mechanic (who does a lot of these) said it's by far the highest quality exhaust he's ever seen. Said installation was super quick without any probs whatsoever. (only charged me 1/2 hour's worth of labor... $39!)

So yeah... get this exhaust. F'in sweet!!

It's definitely a lot louder than the stocker.... At first I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get used to it but I did. Not really sure what you mean by "issues" but yeah, it definitely drones... but that's to be expected I guess.

hmm... well it's the only vibrant crossover auto sells. thought it was a CBE

there are such little gains from a catback exhaust. if you got this one, then you replaced both your stock cats with 1 high flow cat. there is definitely a performance gain with this exhaust!

so yeah... after some more research, it definitely connects to the S pipe.

question: Is there anything to be gained by getting rid of the stock s pipe? not sure what my options are but figured I'd ask.

Also, I noticed the description crossover has on their website says it comes with a built-in, removable silencer. other than my old exhaust, the shop that installed it didn't give me anything back so I'm guessing it's on there.

pretty sure I know what it is.... there's a little screw on the exhaust tip and, inside the large exhaust tip, there's a much smaller... 1987 toyota corolla size exhaust tip. from the start, i didn't much care for the way it looked... but just chalked it up to the design.

assuming that's the silencer, would I gain anything at all (other than a louder exhaust) by taking it off? If not, since it's loud enough as it is, I'll probably just leave it be

but doesnt' it come with one? is that the one you used?

its' definitely louder than stock... probably a few notches louder... but nothing overbearing. I drove by 2 cruisers last night at almost WOT and there were no issues. granted, that's not exactly the best indicator but this thing defintiely isn't over the top... as far as aftermarket exhausts go anyway

dude - Vibrant TBE is recognized as the best of its kind as far as aftermarket go about quality and productivity and it's head to head w/ GHL one.

About time you got on this one , ppl have been using this and they know its value. As far as loudness goes this one is loud period. w/ stiffer mm it vibrates the rear panel by speakers if not stiffer mm imo it doesn't sound that good.

Vibrant makes a tb exhaust? I didnt think they did. I was going to buy the vibrant exhaust but went with the ghl because it was the only true Turbo back exhaust available. I just dont like the idea of having a 2.5" (corksport) downpipe into a 3" exhaust. I like my 3" all the way back.

^^^ the Vibrant replaces all but the S-pipe

+1 the only TRUE TBE is GHL, MAM (used to make one), and ION (used to make one)...or if you got a custom built one.

Changing the S-pipe doesnt do much for performance gain from what I have heard...but more flow is always better in my opinion.

it does come with one if u contact vibrant directly they will send you one. I picked mine up from another forum member.

why would I want to contact them if it already comes with one?

anyway.... yeah, that piece I was referring to was the silencer.

Took it off and, while it looked a lot better, it was noticeably louder. I also didn't notice any increase in power so I put it back.

So it sounds like this is the next best thing to a turbo back. anyone know how much more power a true turbo back (like this GHL one) would give?

I'm pretty happy with the gains... Maybe 25 extra hp was a bit exagerated... but it's definitely up there. Feels like a different car

when i bought this exhaust a few years ago, i didnt know when you bought the exhaust the silencer came in the pipe already. i installed it and being fairly new to modding i didnt notice it sticking in the back of the pipe. i took the car for a drive and was like WTF, why does everyone b**** about the noise, its not loud at all. then i realized the silencer was in! i still think the exhaust sounds amazing!
