hnr springs

How bumpy is the ride with these springs. Im scared to put them in because I might regret it. I was thinking about waiting and saving up for coilovers.

In my experience if you think that you're going to regret something before you even do it then you more than likely will after. If coilovers are something that you think you might want to do eventually then just save up and do it right by you the first time.

H&R springs are supposed to be the most bouncy, but they also give you the lowest drop.

I haven't heard anything about their coilovers, but my guess is that they are way less bouncy

I had hnr's and it was about as low as they advertised.

I regretted the harsh ride and went back to stock.

I have H&R's. The ride is low, harsh and bouncy. The harsh ride and bounciness doesn't bother me a whole lot really, and I'm fairly happy with them for now. Next time I would just save up for the coils, however...

I have H&Rs as well, and the ride can be pretty bouncy. On nice roads the car feels great, but on bad roads, you can definitely feel it. I don't so much find the ride harsh, just bouncy sometimes. I like the drop and the ride for the most part, but am also looking to get coilovers in the future.

If you already have the springs maybe you could save up and upgrade your shocks as well, that would help reduce the "bouncy" ride.

True. but if you include both in the price you aren't too far off from coilovers. I I am considering the koni yellows or sports as a cheaper alternative to coilovers. Any suggestions?

after further research you're right the H&Rs are lower than the roadmagnets and sportlines. Roadmagnets are 1.1" all round while the H&Rs are 1.3" + 1.2"

Actually I had roadmagnets before the h&r's I have now and the roadmagnets were around 3/4 inch lower in the back and 1/2 inch higher in the front.

I also have H&R's and they are bouncy but besides that, it rides pretty smooth. I also like the little stance it gives it towards the front or at least it seems like it. haha

But I am having a little problem with them since I lowered the car. Whenever I pull out of my driveway or making a U-turn, there's a clinging or somewhat popping noise. Its been like 3 months now and its getting pretty annoying. I didnt install the springs personally, a friend thats a Mercedes-Benz technician put them on for me while I was out of town. Some friends told me that probably he didnt put them on correctly and that they have to go on a certain way. Or to just take the whole spring and shock off and put them on again.
Has anybody had the same problem before? any suggestions??

Get under the rear of the car and check some of the bolts back there. sway, mounts, everything you can. had that problem too after the spring swap. At least a good place to start.

I have them on my car and find the ride to be a bit annoying. Its pretty bouncy like everyone says and bangs over some speed bumps. Secondly i also have that issue with the clicking/popping noise when turning the steering wheel. I have really been considering going back to stock but then i step out of the car and see how nice it looks... sigh
