The New Mapleville Main Street Bridge going over Clear River, they finished building it about 6 months ago and built it 1 1/2 feet higher then the old one. good thing.

Ok here are the pics that im not too proud of, it was a real stupid idea to walk up to the dam.

The Roar and force of the water was amazing to see.. the whole dam was shaking violently.

The slipway below the dam..

There is a large population of Portugese in my area and they had a street dedicated to their culture. They built a church, sidewalk and street out of cobblestone which is laid like tile and grout....it didn't hold too well.

Sidewalk in front of church is gone.

Cobblestone littered half the hillside plus you can see a huge pot hole next to the backhoe.

looks like an earth quake! it was actually drains and sewerage pipes that let go on the road...

How's N. Main Street looking, just off 195? I'm heading there next Monday for a meeting.

What exit you plan on taking.....part of Exit 5 is closed since the cobblestone church is right off that exit....and Exit 6A is open 6B is closed from Pleasant St. flooding. North Main is good off of Route 24 but if you go towards the middle of the city I think there was a landslide there.

Your best bet is to take Exit 5 off of 195 E and keep right at the split onto Route 24 and keep going until you hit a North Main exit that is open....I think there are 3....one of them are bound to be open. I work in the industrial park off of North Main. Mind the potholes though there's bound to be many after the storm.

I wouldn't be too upset if flood mazda were underwater.

those guys are crooks.

I blame Tony for this!!

Hahaha Thanks James....i think. I was not able to get to the spot I wanted to this am to get the pics....but wow what destruction!

WOW!!! That's some crazy damage there in Fall River......

Reminds me of when Hurricane Katrina hit our area. Parts of town were closed for weeks.

I'm coming from the east, Cape Cod. ;) Thanks for the heads up. I'll see what the situation is like after the weekend. Glad I did not go today.

Mother Nature is keeping me from my RX-8 hybernation rebirth this year!! Many roads closed in Lakeville. Hoping for Friday .....
