Hey guys i was just wondering what differences there are between the U.S. HiBoost Kit and the Aussie-Streetdreams HiBoost Kit. I am probably less than a week away from ordering the kit and want to know whih one to buy. I also don't understand the price difference. StreetDreams is more expensive by 2'500 and i am just trying to find out why???

I've never heard of the A-S HiBoost kit... Is if from the same HiBoost that makes the U.S. sold turb kit? URL?

Streetdreams should be the authorized distributors which will include an exagerated shipping charge from the States. Thats my opinion.

that was my opinion too pirana (loved your yellow p5 with redback down side). pity it's so much to get turbo into our car down under. hmm - not just yet.
birdy85 - you gonna go through streetdreams or?

as i said it cost 6000 from hiboost including boost controller and HKS BOV and shipping. But streetdreams is 8500. without boost controller and hks BOV. I will deffinatley get the HiBoost U.S one because it is cheaper. That is why i am trying to find out if there is any reason why streetdreams is so much more

i live in AUS. The Hiboost kit from u.s is 6000 AUD with those options and the StreetDreams is 8500AUD. I am trying to find out if the kit has been altered in anyway. Otherwise i cannot see any reason why streetdreams would charge so much

^^^"Otherwise i cannot see any reason why hiboost would charge so much" sorry i meant why streetdreams is charging so much

holy crap!!!! 6 thousand dollars for the kit shittttttttt i would take about 2500 down with the 2500 rebate and trade for a msp and sink about 2500 in boltons and add a fmic and BAM one phat ride!!!

Have u talked to Doug from Streetdreams?did he gave u explanation why theirs is so much expensive???

I do not know if this helps but S/D also do different mapping for the aussie kits as they are way to rich from the states.
So how much will it cost for some body to do the mapping for you ?
Hey and hiboost was going to change the intake hose so it did not go over the rocker cover have they done that yet ?
Have put my Hiboost plan on the back burner as just got myself a second morgage in Darwin

The Street Dreams version includes an E6K as opposed to H10 haltech and a fair bit of programming to suit our cars.

The HiBoost kit "out of the box" needs work for use here.

There are also small development details such as some new bracketry as our radiator is 3mm thicker than a P5 and some things don't quite fit.

You might also negotiate a lower price (dunno) as I know the costing was done when the exchange rate was quite a bit lower, like 66c, not 76c.

I've been there and seen the boys, Doug and Pete and gone for a run in the car.

It DOES go hard.....

yeah the piping is different, as well, doug was showing me... he said that the power steering pump, and a/c stuff are in slightly different locations, but they get in the way, they also get the piping fabricated locally.... is therefore a custom job
