Hi from Los Angeles

Hi Everyone,

These online forums are so comforting. My wife and I have never owned a Mazda and never considered it so I am in the jungle right now but so far so good. After my wife's Volvo 850 Turbo lost a cylinder at nearly 200,000 miles (and my Volvo OK but at 250,000 miles), I decided at least one of our cars should be a newer car. Once she saw the CX-9 and drove it, she was hooked. She ended up with a new-used one from Carmax. It is a gorgeous car - 2008 white with the sand and the Grand Touring package, FWD. The car is very smooth and quiet and handles great, pretty fast too. I convinced the salesman that the OEM tires were worn out and they threw on the Pirellis for no charge.

Looking forward to dialoging in the forum regarding adding a trailer hitch, roof rack cross bars, and of course, maintenance. I am planning on doing all maintenance ans some repairs myself (as I did with my Volvos) I have found that the quality of work is too random at dealers and "jiffy lubes".
