I've been lurking for a few weeks now, but I just signed up.

I picked up my 08 CX-7 just over three weeks ago, a black cherry GT AWD with tech package.

I've added the steel side steps, front mud flaps, chrome rear bumper plate, and Pirelli Ice and Snow tires on steel rims. Also had the front windows tinted to 50%.

Just hit 1000 km yesterday, and figured out mileage for the first time...13.1MPG...YIKES!

We are also new CX-7 2007 owners
Just hit 1000 km yesterdaytoo , and mileage for the two times...

16.1MPG and 17.9mpg.

My wife is in love with the car.

When should we get the first oile change?

Welcome new CX 7 owners.....enjoy the fun of the CX 7!!! I have had mine a year and a half and still lovin' every minute!
luckycx7...I change mine every 7500 miles but also did an early oil change around 3,000 miles.

Yup, I'm hoping to get the mileage up a bit, the remote start doesn't help either.

I do get a lot of comments about the wheels...almost don't want to go back to the stock next month. Although I'm likely going to trade the factory GoodYears for some Pirellis...leaning towards the Scorpion ATRs.

@ScottRHu: Nice car! the wheels just looks great. It remember me the time I did change the summer and winter tire in Germany.

Here in Austin we always have summer (headbang).

Well concerning your front windows where did you let them tinded and for how much. I'm looking to do the same on my CX-7.

It's the first time I bought winter tires, I don't think I'll ever go back to all seasons for the winters here.

I had the tinting done at Tint King here in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It cost $90, taxes in.
