My 03 protege acting up engine light popped on and idles rough whenever I hit the gas the cars stumbles and hear a creeking sound from front right side and gas smell when raise hood and sounds like gas leak from engine car turns on with no problems

Well first of all, get it to Autozone to get the code read for your Check Engine Light. Then let us know what the code number is.

Then do the obvious, make sure all your hoses are connected. Inspect all your fuel lines, fuel rail, and fuel injectors.

We can't really help if you don't give us more info. Even take pics and describe everything in detail. There are a lot of VERY smart cats on this forum, but a doctor can't heal you with a phone call.

So tow it to a autozone then have it towed back to my house that's gonna cost me 100 bucks there's no autozone close enough to me or pepboys etc I had a friend check it out it's not my fuel pump he thinks it's a fuel injector or spark plug

He thinks the injectors could be dirty what if I sea foamed it??

go to walmart and purchase the least expensive code reader they sell, read the code, and post it here. THEN we can give you some help.

without getting the code, you will spend more money on "might" fixes than you will spend on a cheap code reader.

is the engine light flashing or is it solid? Do you do routine maitenance? Is your car modded or not.....as was stated previously, there is too much missing information for anyone to provide any solution or suggestion to your problem.

Engine light is solid and not modded all stock I just bought the car 2 months ago I checked car fax everything was maintained it has 93,000 miles

check your air box tube. sometimes they split underneith and you wont c it , but thats a place to start
