I'm driving across canada and stopped into canadian tire for an oil change and when i leave there i drive to the mall and the check engine light came on. Is there anything they could of done to cause this??? i went to the mazda dealship to see if they could scan it for me but telling me the earliest he could get me in was wednesday and i'm suppose to leave tonight. Oh and i'm driving a 07 Speed 6.

go back to Canadian Tire and have them scan it then let us know the code....
or

remove, and re-tighten your gas cap
the disconnect the battery for 10 minutes, re-connect and tell us is you still have the CEL or not

Went back to crappy tire and they said because the car was a 2007 they couldnt scan it for me and didnt know anything about the car

Thats Bull Bro Being An 07 Has Nothing To Do With Scanning The Car For Trouble Codes! Try Taking It To An Auto Parts Store Or Local Mechanic

I went to mazda in kingston and started getting saucy with them and an hour later they took my car in scanned it, reset the light and hasn't came back on yet, and i drove 1100km today. They couldn't give me a real reason why this code came on tho, thinks it could have something to do with the gas i was running, i'll post the code tomorrow and get some opinions from you guys
