I got my sub hooked up to the headunit yesterday.... the previous owner who put in that headunit didn't even know the sub wasn't hooked up. Go figure. But anyway, since i don't have a manual, and i don't really know anything about car audio, i was wondering if you guys could help me out as to what the different switch things on the side of the amp are for. I just wanna make sure its not set WRONG, so that it won't hurt something, and of course i'd also like to do whatever i can to get the best sound quality. Thanks!!

if your going to run the stock sub. it should be on low pass (LP), and then turn it on... you can then adjust the gain on it for the best sound as you are listening to it. i took out my factory sub, used the amp hooked up a 12" kicker cvr. its decent, much better than the stock sub... let me know if you have any other questions...

Some people have also replaced the stock subwoofer with a 4ohm sub which will essentially double the amp's output. Search this forum as well as the main CA&E forum for more information.

You might be able to get a PDF copy of the manual from Kenwood's site. I know other manufacturers provide manuals but I haven't checked Kenwood's site recently.
