Help, I have just installed a new ATP GT3071R Turbo Kit for Mazdaspeed6 supplied by **********. All went well with the install until it came time to start for the first time. It fired up first start with billowing white smoke spewing from the exhaust. i let it idle for a few minutes thinking it would burn off, checked underneath and oil was dripping from the join between the new test pipe and the old exhaust. I disconnected the old exhaust and started it up again with just the test pipe. Apart from the smoke, oil dribbled from the pipe (a 10" puddle in about 2 minutes idle). I have since removed the test pipe. The turbine spins freely and there is no noticeable play or movement there was
a puddle of oil on the bottom of the exhaust turbo outlet. Any advice or constructive recommendations appreciated. Being in Australia makes it difficult to get answers sometimes.

you need to make sure your pcv lines are hooked up correctly... it sounds like your crank case pressure is forcing oil back up the drain tube... its a common problem on aftermarket turbo kits. Make sure you fix it before you start driving or it will eventually kill the turbo

A big trap for new players. When we installed we connected the oil return steel tube to the bottom of the turbo, then bolted the tube to the block (the full weight of the turbo was now resting on the tube). When we tried to get the exhaust manifold over the manifold studs and the turbo exhaust studs we put a kink in the oil return just below the turbo and this created the oil problem. - Lesson learnt after pulling it all apart, buying new oil return tube, is to fit your turbo exhaust studs last. Problem solved Thanks for your replies
