Help needed from anyone with a 5 speed swap to a Milly S?

So i'm looking to get some advice from anyone who has swpped a 5 speed into their Milly S

As some of you guys on here know, i am swapping a KJ/5speed into my 02' Protege 5

I have it running and running well, at idle at least, when i first fire it up, i can rev it up all the way to redline if i want, but a few seconds later it seems like a rev limiter kicks in at approx. 3-4k rpm

I basically have it ready to take for a test drive once this running issue is worked out, IE all fluids are in it, fan working etc.

I can only assume it is some sort of computer "safe mode" due to not getting a signal from somewhere and i really have no clue where to start looking, so any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated

to tell you the truth... i only knew of one guy on a forum who did it. he posted one video and disappeared. and it wasnt on this forum. he did post any info either or else id link you to it. sorry bro but if you do find someone with a 5speed milly in canada or us link me to the build thread, i want to see that. Good luck fixing the problem.

just out of curiosity.... why a KJ engine?

Honestly, just to try something different, not to mention the SC sounds awesome lol

lol ok... props on the being diff part. most go with a KL-ZE and they can pretty much do what most probe and mx6 guys do. plenty turbo kits for it. when you get eveyrthing worked out post up the results and videos.
