Im having multiple issues, can anyone help?
1. When im shifting from 1st gear to 2nd gear, I sometimes hear this knock sound coming from the transmission. I never changed the transmission fluid ever since I got the car. Im now going on like my 5year without changing it. I heard from a few people that if you change the fluid you can start having transmission problems. Is there any truth to this?
2.The other day, my car starts stuttering and my check engine light comes on. I took it to the shop, they tell me that my throttle body is no good. I changed the throttle body myself and then the check engine light went off. Then.. I start test driving it and the same problem was there, except without the engine light being on. I took it back.. They tell me that my ignition coils must be no good and asked me when was the last time I got a tune up; which was never. For some reason the computer wasnt picking up any bad codes showing that the ignition coils were bad. I had them change only the 3 in the back due to how expensive they were. Spark plugs were all changed. Drove the car for a few days, it was fine for alittle while. Then all of a sudden it started becoming sluggish again. Computer picked up a code.. I brought it back to the shop. They tell me that its showing that my solenoid valve is no good, but that it couldnt be causing the hessitation. They told me to clean the Maf sensor too. I unplugged the negative battery terminal and cleaned it, connected it back. Now the engine light disappeared. The problem is still there.
3. At cold starts my engine starts to tick for a few seconds and then the sound disappears. Does this mean that my valve lifters are on their way out? Is it to late to save them?
