Help! H/L Question?

I have had the Xtec HID kit in my car now for about 3 months. I got in my car tonight to drive down to the store and I go to turn on the H/L and pop! there goes the fuse, the factory one in the engine compartment, it is a 15amp fuse.
I checked all the connections and everything seems OK. No wires are exposed and for some reason it keeps blowing the fuse. Any ideas that any of you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Im not too familiar w\ HID systems or anything, but perhaps a ballast has an internal short, causing too much current to be pulled, popping the fuse? no bare wires grounding out?

just start unplugging like say the ballast on one side and then turn them on. If it doesnt pop the fuse your problem is in the ballast you unhooked.
