Help Adjusting Koni Yellows, Rear Shocks

So I have had Koni Yellow Struts/shocks on my car for about a month and a half. I have the front adjusted to where I like them, but the back is another story. I have tried adjusting them twice, and it doesn't feel any different. I remove the shock from the car, then remove the shock mount. I collapse the rod down into the shock and while it is bottomed out I turn it left until it hits a stop. Then I turn it back right while it is still depressed. The problem comes when I turn it back right. At about an 1/8 to a 1/4 turn I run into a bump/stop. If I give it a little bit harder of a turn it seems to go over that stop/bump. Is this normal? I am just trying to adjust them to a quarter turn hard. This happens on both shocks. Any help is appreciated.
