what? im sick of reverse descrimination and bad affirmative action that goes too far. finally someone had the balls to do something. it is the equivalent of someone creating WET - white entertainment television...that is just as much horseshit as BET. i dont care what race anyone is, were all supposed to be equal yet people get into college and jobs based on the fact they are a minority. i cant remember what college, but i remember reading a college had a point system to get in, and SAT scores were worth like 4 points, but if you were black you automatically got 20 points. so what the **** is with that?
It is about time. Although...it's only $250.....barely worth the effort to write the essay. Somebody should do this same thing only pony up a little more cash - like $1000 or something.
Now if only we could get the politicians to stop kissing the ass of people with kids, we'd really be in busy. I'm tired of the single childless taking it up the ass on everything (in case you can't tell, I just did my F-ing taxes).

There was a story on the news a few months back about some kid in high school that was trying to make a club for white kids, and everyone got their panties in a bunch about that too. I guess if other races can have their own club, whites should too. But, no, then it becomes a racial problem

This isn't exactly the group I want representing white people anyhow. They are already known for writing slanderous articles in the college papers about the local Gay-RIGHTS group indoctrinating people into homosexual sex. I hope a local bedding store doesn't start having a sale on white sheets.

This is a shining example of hypocrisy. Jason Mattera, the groups president, argues that "white kids are at a handicap" and "handing out scholarships based on someone's color is absurd." This is extra funny as Mattera is of Puerto Rican descent and received a $5,000 scholarship offered ONLY to minorities. No greater hypocrisy can be committed than to accept something and then denounce it directly afterward. Appartently his convictions only apply when the cash is flowing his way.
Many scholarships are provided to equalize the racial differences that have grown in our country throughout the past 300 to 400 years. There are still plenty of scholarships and job opportunities available to all, and in the end the arguments that whites are losing out are shoddy at best. Whites still dominate enrollments in higher education and white still generally recive more opportunities. There are, though, exceptions to every rule; some whites are not as fortunate as some minorities.
Whites may be presently excluded from certain scholarships, but the unequal opportunties given to minorities, which have lessened only in the past few decades, have created the need to balance the scales. We are striving towards a society that values accomplishments and focuses on equalizing racial tensions, thus ending the disproportionality among races.

My best friend whose parent's weren't priviledged, nor even near wealthy, was denied financial aid. And she graduated #1 in our class; however, she applied for scholarships and got them. Not because of her ethnicity, because she was willing and termined to go to get a higher education.clownphish said:
