Took my speed in for a 30k inspection/service. They changed the trans fluid and when I picked the car up I noticed it made a new noise. I duplicated the noise and found it only made this gear whine noise when the clutch is engaged in 1st gear and the wheel is turned to full lock. Makes the same noise if the wheel is turned right or left but nothing in a straight line under a heavy load. With the clutch disengaged the car just coast free without making any noise so it is a driveline issue in the trans or LSD. I left it at the stealership till they can figure it out.
Coming on here I found a few threads and seen what I suspected the problem was, LSD. These gys must of used the wrong fluid or forgot to add friction modifier.
Thaks for the past owners running into this problem and posting about it. I may just end up changing the fluid to the ford spec stuff, unless there is something better out there.
