Has Anyone Taken The Ms3 To The Track Yet?

spring time, i have a date with my friends altima se-r...

Good luck, but you don't need it. As much as I love my mom's Altima SE-R those things handle like crap.. which is ridiculous because they weigh just as much as a Mazdaspeed 3 and I'm sure the 3 handles really well.

They could have done so much more with it, I'm glad Mazda didn't just stick forged wheels, slightly upgraded brakes/suspension and a 6spd on the Mazda3 and call it a day.

yeah, i had no doubt that I could beat him autocrossing. Ive ridden in the car and its pretty bulky compared to the speed3. Not to mention, his car is an autotragic. He wants to do straight line racing tho, and of course I have been running my mouth, think I could beat him?

I'd hope so. Those are like 255hp, nothing too exciting there. They do weigh pretty much the exact same weight as the MS3, and you have more gears to contend with (it's a 5sp auto). Quarter mile I don't doubt that you could beat him. Take it to the track and find out for us! :)

ok good that was my logic too... I'm not sure if the local tracks are still open, so this battle might have to wait for the spring. There are a bunch of guys at work that are gonna go: my ms3, charger srt-8, old-school chevelle (not sure the specs, but i know ive seen it go FAST), rx-8, sti, and the sentra se-r. I'm hoping to go one of the first warm days of the spring, I will def be interested to see how the ms3 holds up against this tough competition

Where do you work? That's a nice list of rides, cool parking lot to pull into.

haha i work at Dade Behring (its a medical diagnostic company in DE)... its really funny actually b/c the parking lot is dominated by minivans and pick-ups, but if u go the front of the lot, all the directors park their bimmers and porches and then at the back of the lot theres the big group of nice cars under 50k lol (edit-- forgot one...last month a guy picked up the turbo solstice, def not asking him to autocross haha)
