Turbo gaskets? LIke the one from the turbo to the s-pipe? Isn't that made of metal?
What do you mean turbo hoses? The IC pipes? Oil lines? Water coolant lines?(confused)

ok obviously u know i don't know s*** about cars... but the techs at Mazda replaced my quote unquote "Turbo Gasket" not only once by 3 times. That is what they wrote on my reciete. They also said i blew the turbo hose, as of the Mass Air Flow Sensor.. my check engine light came on and they tested it. I have a friend there so he checked my car with my injen cai installed and didn't void my warrentee. But he said the Check Engine Light came on because of the CAI. He said quote unquote "Mass Air Flow Sensor" popped up when he checked the computer.

i have s*** luck with cars... im pretty sure its happing again... i mean the first month i bought this car.... brand spankin new... i got backed in to by an huge truck when i'm in class... $3,500 and 4 weeks later i get the car back.

boo my s*** luck

Was it just a loose coupling on your cold air intake or your other intake pipes? When I installed my CAI, I didn't tighten the clamps firm enough, and it came loose. I pop the hood and you can see the pipe is not connected around the MAF(mass air sensor). This gives a check engine light and kills the engine, but it is a simple fix you can do yourself. Just put it back on and tighten it well if that is what your problem is. Don't use a screwdriver to tighten these clamps unless you got pretty strong arms. Use a socket wrench (8mm i think) so you can get some good torque on there and be sure it tight enough.

Same thing with your all your intake piping, pipes from turbo to intercooler, intercooler to throttlebody. Those especially need to be tightened well or they can pop off, or leak boost and cause problems.

The turbo gasket thing sounds like BS to me, and I hope they aren't just making s*** up so they can charge you more. It sucks but there are shady mechanics out there that take advantage of people that don't know cars well. It has happened to my parents back when they were paying for repairs on my old car. That's why I try to learn as much as I can and do as much work myself as possible.

Does the turbo gasket on your receipt have a part number? Why was it at the dealer in the first place? What were the symptoms?

Thanks for all the advice. i really do apprieciate it... i found every time i was in 3 - 5 gear at 3.5rpms, where the turbo usually kicks in, the car would like hestatiate but not gently, the whole car would kindof buck, like a complete lost in power then it would kick in, then do it again... they said that was the turbo hose.... but the turbo gasket had to be replaced too... everything i do is under warrentee so i'm not payin for it so i don't think they r screwin me, but they might be... i bought this car from the same dealer brand new with not even 500 miles on it... its just pissing me off i really want to file for the lemon law.. thats if it breaks one more time.....

thanks for the advice on the CAI tho..

thanks man
