Hankook K104

I just wanted to post a review of these tires for those of use in the market for a new set. Hankook has built a pretty strong rep here in the US for churning out a decent product and a much better price than the competion. I previously has a set of Fuzion Zr-i tires on the car which do not do the MSP justice. By comparison the K104's have a higher speed and load rating (91y compared to the 87W Fuszions). Road noise if slightly below the level you would expect from a budget performance tire but still slightly noticeable (if you disregard the much louder exhaust, bov, turkey, ect.). The K104's are sticky as ever and only begin to squeal a the limit, which is very high. There's a downhill on ramp I used to take a 60 that I can now take at 65 or more. i haven't tried them in the wet but you should drive slower when it's raining anyway. Direction changes are stil lsharp as ever!!!I picked up a set of four for just 200.00 and could not have been more pleased! BTW the suspension is stock and so are the MSP wheels.

Nice, now post some pics and where you found them for $200!

I'll have some pics up soon. I got them off an ebay dealer, Eastcoasttires.com. They arrived very quickly too. It's been so long since I had decent tires on this car, I forgot what she capable of. I'm going to experiment with the air pressure a bit to optimize the contact patch. Some people may say the sidewalls are too soft and therefore the tire has too much rollover but the car's stock setup loves it. The MSP should have some with these tires stock!
