I'm looking to buy new tires in the next weeks (actually running on winter tires/rims). I had many good comments about Hankook, but a local dealer is actually making a GB on Falken! I know the K104 and FK-451 are some kind of equivalent and their ratings seams to be quite equal, but I'm looking for comment from mazda owners that drove with one or the other in order to decide what I'm going to be rolling on next summer...

Thanks

I have the fk-451's on my car right now, i've put about 6k miles on them since september, and i can't complain at all.....i know they are ultra high performance summer tires, but i've had to drive them in the snow and they were not bad at all. So much better than the stockers.

But you want them for the summer so anyway they have great dry traction, and are good in the rain also. I really like these tires for the price that they were. I couldn't see any others performing better. They are very responsive and i don't feel any side wall flex.

Also they reduced my 60ft time by .2 secs at the track.

Only complaint i have with them is that they are kinda loud, but it doesn't bother me.

I have the Hankook tires on now. The tread is relly good on them. The grip is good. Work very well in snow. I'm pleased. It cost me $395.00 for 17in on balanced and out the door. The stock ones sucked.

I'd go with falken. I had the FK-451 last time, they are good. I trust them alot. I run Falkens on all of my cars. If you want to spend the money, I recommend the RT-615s though. But all of falkens are good imo.
