H&R Springs on the MP3?

Has anyone put H&R springs on the MP3 to lower it, ive seen one and it looks hype....Anyone suggest upsides or downsides to this?

Any advice is appreciated

I just talked to my mechanic, he said ontop of the drop already on the MP3 the H&R's will only get another .3-.5 drop

Thinks eibachs will drop it more, any truth to this?
Said eibachs take a little longer to sag, but eventually more of a drop

see....i dont want that at all...i am just gonna be safe cause no companies have any exact drop on the mp3...so intrax it will be....

Does this mean that the Eibachs arent quality? I was thinking of getting a pro kit for mine. Are there any known issues with the Eibachs? Sorry if this has been discussed before...

Also does it void the warranty if you throw in new springs?

Eibach brand is pretty top notch, so they are pretty high quality. Warranty doesn't void when you put on aftermarket springs, but FYI, dealership mechanics can blame your springs being the cause of any squeaking noise your car may happen to have. I know a friend who owns a Civic Si who uses Eibach Pro. He took his car in to his dealership to complain about suspension squeaks, but the mechanics just blamed his springs to be the root cause. Dunno if that is actually the real cause or not, but the squeaks are not over-bearing to deal with on daily driving.

Skunk2 Coilovers

If you all are looking for drop why not get the Skunk2 Coilovers. I just received an email back from them and they have a set for the MP3 that will lower the car up 3.5". The set was quoted to me at $349, but the guys said to call and confirm the price.

I think I will be going with these as I will be able to dial in the look/drop that I want.

I had eibachs on my old 99 Protege SE. Real nice drop, I had 14's on there with 65 profile... but it was a perfect drop for me. I have pics somewhere I will post them up sometime about the drop....
I plan on eventually putting eibachs again on my car... The pro Kit that is...

i put H&R's on mine about a month ago. it does drop it-more than .3-.5 but not sure exactly-the tires fill the wells much nicer now. compared to a stock, the stock looks really high my only complaint is that i live in the country, so i have to drive like my grandma on the roads out here. other than that, i would say stick to the H&R's. i don't have any pics, but hopefully i will be meeting up with GonzoATX his weekend, and he might be able to take some pics-i'll talk to him

the p5 and Mp3 should be pretty close to the same height when lowered by H&R's besides the rear of the P5 because of the weight difference! I have pics of the H&R's on a P5 if you want to see those too!
