GOt mine on and car is running good, getting some resonance or something through the intake at mid rpms & partial throttle- almost sounds like a horn blowing or something. Not real loud, but definately audible.

I've adjusted the position of the intake a couple times with no luck thinking it was just some vibration- anyone else experience something like this?

Sounds like vibration to me. Is it the possible turkey? At least it's running good though.
Good luck!!!!

Not the turkey- sounds like vibration or some kind of resonance in the pipes, but I can't locate the source. :(

Check the bpv.
You might have it going the wrong direction.
There is an arrow on the side of the valve.
Make sure its going from the ic pipe to the intake.

I think we're OK on the BPV, I get the turkey noise when I shift and the car is running perfectly. I think with the BPV on backward I'd wind up with a rough running car, no? This is only at partial throttle, mid RPM range with the turbo boosting lightly. I will double check, however.

I have the AEM as well ... and i know the sound you are talking about. Mine happened for about 2 weeks, and then stopped after i slightly adjusted my BOV toward loose. I think it might be the sound of the air hitting the nipple for the BPV. I was never for sure.

Sort of like resonance, right? Like the flow of air is causing some kind of vibration or something? I don't know what to compare it to.

I know exactly what ur talking about. I still get it. It sounds like something vibrating during partial throttle. Unfortunately, I don't know what is causing it or how to get rid of it.

Glad to hear other folks experience the same thing, I was concerned that I didn't quite get the install right. Could be a noise that was there all along and is audible now without the airbox, or maybe something specific to to the AEM, I don't know.

We are not the only ones either ... i know people with the Injen with the same issue. I am leaning more toward the problem has always been there, just not noticable with the factory air box.

Is it sort of a " mooing " sound? Low pitch about a couple seconds long or so?
This is what my car did when I intalled mine and had the bpv backwards.
Fixed the bpv and now I have nothing but pure turkey !

Double checked my install vs. AEM's instructions, BPV is facing the way they indicate it should be.

This noise is throttle position and RPM dependant. Its only light throttle, only mid to low RPM and only when the turbo is boosting lightly. I get the full on turkey noise on shifts- the harder the shift, the louder the turkey.

If the BPV were facing the wrong way, it would just blow the pressure out the intake and cause a stall, no?

Sounds like the noise mine made.
I didn't notice any other affects of having the bpv backwards other than the "mooing" soind.

My arrow is pointing away from the intercooler pipe and toward the intake (the side with the nipple and smaller vaccum hose is also pointing to the intercooler). This is correct, no?
