I just got back from PG after they installed the GT28RS, AWR motor mounts and a Forge WGA.
All I can say WOW!!!!
I can't believe how much this car pulls.
I did find myself in the 10-10.5 PSI range, so that's going to have to be brought down some so I stay away from the zoom-zoom-boom.
Here's a pic of it going in. I'll take better shots tomorrow when I get light.

As of right now the car is all stock besides the stuff we added today, even down to the plastic piping!!

Also Thanks to Cataphract_40 for the ride out there and hanging out while Ken and them did there thing!!

GT28RS as your first mod. Thats a first. I gotta step my game up and get one.

Actually my first mod was taking off the Air box and sliding on a open air filter. (poor mans SRI) then I mounted crossed driller rotors and HPS Pads, Then I jumped to the GT28RS! I need to catch the rest of the car up to that turbo now.

I am glad you love the new turbo but man, i honestly cant see how you could justify upgrading the turbo when you have zero supporting mods.

Atleast upgrade your intercooler and exhaust and then get the car tuned so you do not blow it up.

The Exhaust, hard pipes, Intercooler and splitsecond, or yet to come. The Turbo blew and was burning about a quart of oil a week, and the WGA was holding no boost, plus the mounts were all torn.
I had no choice but to replace the parts, and why spend more money on stock when the upgrades are cheaper! Plus I didn't have to pay for them.

well that is a little better! just make sure you let the engine breathe better and you get the thing tuned.

Very nice i just put a 28RS on my car a lil more lag but way better top-end now i need more boost

Congratulations, but becareful not to have too much fun. Get some sort of exhaust, you'll need to remove as much heat from the engine as quickly as posible.

I'm trying to figure out how to drop the boost. When Ken took it for the test drive it was boosting 8.5, on the drive home I noticed 10-10.5 I know I need to get an exhaust. I think a Vibrant will be the choice. I know a front mount will drop some pressure, But I don't want to go that route, I think the only real way to make it safe is a split second, and stay off full thottle.

The colder the temps get the more boost it will run. On most cars a decent sized intercooler will lower the boost a bit but on the MSP I got almost 2psi, and the exhaust will raise the boost a bit too. Take it back and ask if the actuator is adjustable, see if he'll lower it for you. Good luck.

The actuator was adjusted to it's fullest from what I was told. I guess a split second will help with controlling some of that fuel?

I dunno about this...the gt28rs is really dangerous without supporting mods...if I were you I would turn down the boost real low (even if you have to get another WGA) until you get Exhaust, IC, BOV, EMS, etc... you get the idea

just my .02 cents

If I were you I would definitely get a fmic. That is definitely the way to go. Most people with a smic upgrade to a fmic.
